Fairfield Coronavirus Update: Cases, Vaccinations By The Numbers
About 10.27 percent of Fairfield residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Coronavirus cases and hospitalizations have been trending down in Connecticut over the past few weeks.
Connecticut had 36.1 daily average cases per 100,000 people between Jan. 24 and Feb. 6 — that’s the lowest two-week average since early November.
Fairfield recorded 107 new coronavirus cases between Feb. 4 and Feb. 10, according to preliminary data from the state Department of Public Health. There have been 3,942 cases recorded since the pandemic began and 194 coronavirus deaths.

Fairfield had 28.4 average daily cases per 100,000 residents between Jan. 24 and Feb. 6 and a positive test rate of 2.2 percent. There were 29.4 average daily cases per 100,000 residents in the previous two-week reporting period.
Vaccines
The state opened vaccination appointments Thursday for people between 65 and 74 years old.

Fairfield had 6,373 first doses administered as of Feb. 11. About 10.27 percent of town residents have received at least one dose and 57.82 percent of residents 75 and older have received at least one dose.
