Fairfield Weather: Winter Storm Watch For Thursday
Winter's not over yet. Brace yourself for another snowy day later this week.
FAIRFIELD, CT — There's more snow headed to Fairfield later this week, according to the National Weather Service.
The area is projected to see up to 9 inches of snow Thursday, with a winter storm watch set to start 6 a.m. Thursday and continue through 6 a.m. Friday. Snow may start falling overnight Wednesday into Thursday, and 3 to 5 inches are forecast during the day Thursday, plus another 2 to 4 inches that night, followed by rain, snow and sleet Friday.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 20 degrees. Wind chill values between 10 and 15 degrees. West wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 33 degrees. Wind chill values between 10 and 20 degrees. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of snow after 4 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 20 degrees. North wind around 6 mph.
Thursday: Snow, mainly after 10 a.m. High near 27 degrees. Wind chill values between 15 and 20 degrees. Northeast wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Thursday night: Snow. Temperature rising to around 30 degrees by 4 a.m. Northeast wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Friday: Rain, snow and sleet, mainly before 1 p.m. High near 34 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.
