Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau to Raise Pride Flag

Town of Fairfield First Selectman Michael C. Tetreau is hosting a historic LGBTQ Flag Raising Ceremony in celebration of Gay Pride Month at Independence Hall, 611 Old Post Road, Fairfield on Friday, June 28 at 11 AM. This ceremony has special significance this year as it is the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising in New York City. The event is open to the public.

Representatives of the Triangle Community Center will join other community leaders including Fairfield State Representative Cristin McCarthy Vahey. The National Anthem will be performed, and Pledge of Allegiance recited. The Rev. Curtis Farr, Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, will offer an invocation.
