Fairfield Grad Programs Ranked Among Best In Nation By U.S. News

FAIRFIELD, CT — Graduate programs in Fairfield’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business and the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies have yet again been named among the nation’s best in the 2022 U.S. News Best Graduate School Rankings.

Fairfield Dolan’s programs in accounting, business analytics, finance and marketing were included on the Best Grad Business Specialty Programs list, among the top 25 in the U.S. The accounting program jumped six spots to No. 14; the business analytics program tied with Harvard at No. 21, as well as UCLA, Wake Forest, University of San Francisco, University of Arizona and Georgia State; Fairfield’s finance program leapt five spots to No. 20, and tied with Arizona State, Creighton and Loyola-Maryland; and the marketing program landed at No. 18 again this year in a tie with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Fairfield Dolan’s part-time MBA jumped fourteen spots and placed No. 2 in the state of Connecticut.

The Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies DNP program ascended sixteen spots to No. 53 nationally, tied with Indiana University-Purdue University; UNC-Greensboro; and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Both the DNP and masters of nursing program placed No. 3 in the state of Connecticut.

Best Graduate Business Specialty Programs

• Accounting No. 14, and the only school in Connecticut ranked in the top 20.
• Business Analytics No. 21, and the only school in Connecticut in the top 25.
• Finance No. 20, and No. 2 in the state of Connecticut following Yale.
• Marketing No. 18, and the only school in Connecticut in the top 20.
• Part-time MBA No. 127 and No. 2 in Connecticut.

Best Graduate Nursing Programs

• Doctor of Nursing Practice No. 53, and No. 3 in Connecticut.
• Master of Science in Nursing No. 74, and No. 3 in Connecticut.

Ranking indicators for the 2022 Best Graduate Schools included quality assessment (peer assessment score and recruiter assessment score), placement success (indicators on employment and earnings), and student selectivity. According to U.S. News & World Report, specialty rankings are based solely on ratings by business school deans and directors of accredited MBA programs. This year, three new specialty rankings were added: business analytics, real estate and project management.
