Fairfield To Host 3rd Annual Pride Flag Raising Event
Students from Fairfield Ludlowe High School and Fairfield Prep will be guest speakers at the event.
FAIRFIELD, CT — (Contributed): Fairfield First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick is allowing the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag to be flown at Town Hall for one week in celebration of Gay Pride Month at Independence Hall, 611 Old Post Road, Fairfield beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 21.
Students from Fairfield Ludlowe High School and Fairfield Prep will be the guest speakers.
Representatives of local clergy will join other community leaders including State Senator Tony Hwang, State Representatives Cristin McCarthy Vahey. Laura Devlin and Jennifer Leeper and Judge of Probate Kate Maxham. The National Anthem will be performed and the Pledge of Allegiance recited. The Rev. Curtis Farr, Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, will offer an invocation. This event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
