Fairfield House Damaged In Overnight Fire

The incident was the second house fire to which Fairfield first responders were called over the course of several hours.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Firefighters were called to an overnight house fire in the early morning hours Friday.

Emergency personnel responded just before 2 a.m. to the 500 block of Black Rock Turnpike, according to Assistant Chief Schuyler Sherwood.

No one was injured and the damage was contained to the exterior of the home, Sherwood said, adding the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Several hours before the fire was reported, first responders were separately called to a house that was ablaze on Narrow Street.
