Fairfield Landscaper, Florist Find Success With Partnership
"Businesses that go together, grow together," said the owner of Outdoor Design & Living, which shares a space with Fresh Flower Bar.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A pair of plant-focused Fairfield business are celebrating one year of partnership with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week.
Outdoor Design & Living and Fresh Flower Bar will host the event, to be officiated by First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at their 1301 Bronson Road location, according to a news release from the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
Outdoor Design & Living’s owner, Chris Palmer, is thrilled to showcase his partnership with Sarah O’Brien’s Fresh Flower Bar. The two companies began to share a space a year ago, and both businesses have expanded, helping one another remain resilient and successful.

“Businesses that go together, grow together,” Palmer said in the news release. “Fresh Flower Bar is the ideal on-site partner for the services we offer here, and continues our mission to help make your outdoor living space an extension of your home.”
Outdoor Design & Living took over the pre-existing landscape property on Bronson Road
three years ago, and O’Brien is now celebrating her one-year anniversary at the location.

The businesses share a synergistic “root-to-table” partnership. Palmer and
his team plant and grow some of the flowers O’Brien uses in her Instagram-worthy designs,
arrangements, and workshops.
Started out of the back of a pickup truck 25 years ago, Outdoor Design & Living is now a full-service landscape design-and-build company with a nursery and retail businesses, located on nearly 2 acres in Greenfield Hill.
“We want you to have fun in your yard,” Palmer said in the news release. “Our goal is to show you how to fall in love with your whole outdoor area. After all, it is a natural extension of your home and can be another great living space.”
O’Brien specializes in hatbox flower arrangements and has a blog, "Connecticut in Style."
“I just love having my studio nestled in this location," she said in the news release. "We share so many of the same customers and even the same vision for beautifying with flowers and plants.”
Fresh Flower Bar offers arrangements, hand-tied bouquets, floral planning for weddings and special occasions, as well as floral design classes.
Fresh Flower Bar is located upstairs in the iconic gray barn on the property. Downstairs in the barn, visitors will find special items and gifts, such as tabletop accessories, candles, containers, apparel and decorative houseplants.
