Fairfield Ludlowe Parents Build Outfield Fence

Softball season starts March 27.

After the CIAC gave Fairfield Ludlowe softball coach, Lou Bonosso, the go-ahead for a 2021 spring season, the winter league coach, Doug Romero, rallied the troops to build the temporary outfield fence on Sturges Field. Several parents answered the call to help on an early morning this past Saturday, March 13th. Perhaps the willingness for such a great turnout, besides the love of the game, was that the 'fence' is not just a fence but rather a symbol of what's to come. It's the beginning of new life on that softball field. Here come the 2021 Falcons! The season starts on March 27th.

The softball team has been training consistently during the winter months in preparation for a much anticipated return to the ball field. These girls are so excited and have been working hard in order to put their best foot forward to play the first high school games since 2019. Here's hoping for many dingers over that fence! Go Falcons!
