FAIRFIELD, CT — The Electronic Dance Music community is mourning the loss of Pierce Fulton, a producer, musician and Fairfield resident.
Fulton died suddenly April 29 after struggling with his mental health, according to his brother, Griff Fulton. Pierce was 28.
“Pierce was so incredibly full of life, love & unimaginable creativity,” Griff wrote in a Facebook post on Pierce’s public page. “He was an expert at absolutely anything he set his mind to & had this incredible ability to retain knowledge unlike anyone I’ve ever known.”

Pierce established himself in the EDM world about a decade ago with his original material and remixes, according to his obituary. He released his debut solo EP, “Pardon My French,” while still a teenager and toured internationally. His single, “Runaway,” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.
Pierce worked with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and EDM star Martin Garrix, according to the Connecticut Post. His great-grandfather was John “Jack” Collins Fulton, a member of the Paul Whiteman Orchestra and sidekick to Bing Crosby, the obituary said.

“If you or anyone you know has been struggling, please take your intuition seriously, speak up about your feelings, and reach out for help,” Griff said in the Facebook post.
A memorial was held May 7. Plans are underway to form an organization in Pierce’s memory.
