Fairfield Pedestrian Hit By SUV, Seriously Injured: Police
A 65-year-old woman was in intensive care during the weekend after she was struck while crossing the street in Fairfield, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 65-year-old woman was in intensive care during the weekend after she was struck by an SUV near downtown Fairfield, according to police.
Law enforcement were called about 5:30 p.m. Friday to respond to a crash in the 600 block of Old Post Road, police said. A 56-year-old man was driving a BMW SUV west when he hit a pedestrian who was in the crosswalk, according to police. The driver, a Fairfield resident, pulled over and is cooperating with law enforcement, police said.
The victim, a Bridgeport woman, was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with serious injuries, and was in the intensive care unit as of Saturday morning, according to police.
