FAIRFIELD, CT ? The Fairfield Police Department has introduced two newly wrapped school resource vehicles designed to reflect the high schools where they are stationed.
The vehicles, featuring the mascots and colors of Fairfield Ludlowe High School and Fairfield Warde High School, will be used by officers assigned to those campuses. Officer Kevin McPadden is stationed at Ludlowe, home of the Falcons, while Officer Chanse Wilkie works at Warde, home of the Mustangs.
Police officials said the designs are intended to highlight the department?s partnership with the school district and its emphasis on safety and community engagement.

"These vehicles are a visible reminder of the strong relationship between our officers, the schools, and the community," said Fairfield Police Chief Michael Paris in a statement. "Our School Safety Division works every day to create safe and welcoming learning environments, and these designs are a symbol of that collaboration and school pride. They also align with our department?s new mission statement built around the word TEAM: Trust, Excellence, Allegiance, and Motivation. These pillars are the foundation of how we serve Fairfield and how we will continue to strengthen partnerships with the community."

Lt. Michael Stahl, who oversees the School Safety Division, said the officers serve as both safety resources and mentors to students and staff.
"Officer McPadden and Officer Wilkie are deeply embedded within their school communities," Stahl said. "They serve not only as a resource for safety but also as mentors and trusted partners for students, staff, and families. These vehicles are just one small way to depict the partnership, the relationships, and the community pride that define our work."

Superintendent Michael J. Testani said the district values the collaboration with police and the message it sends about safety and school spirit.
"We are grateful for the continued collaboration with the Fairfield Police Department," Testani said. "Projects like this highlight the positive impact that strong school and police partnerships can have, reinforcing to our students and families that their safety, well-being, and school spirit are priorities we all share."
The department credited Connecticut business StickIt Graphics for helping create the vehicle wraps.
Police officials said the School Safety Division will continue working with Fairfield Public Schools to maintain secure learning environments and strengthen ties with the community.
