The Castle on the Post Hosts "Pints and Policy" to Help Get Neighbors to Share their Views with State Rep. Cristin McCarthy Vahey
Nearly fifty Fairfielders turned out despite the rain for a forum hosted by State Representative Cristin McCarthy Vahey at The Castle on Post Restaurant & Pub on the Post Road in Fairfield on April 9, 2019. The event dubbed Pints and Policy was planned as an opportunity for neighbors to meet with Cristin and talk one-on-one about the issues facing their lives.
One of the many issues that were brought to Cristin's attention were the proposed tolls in the state of Connecticut, the proposed casino in Bridgeport and the state's infrastructure. McCarthy Vahey represents Fairfield's 133rd District in the Connecticut House of Representatives and is currently in her third term of office. She chairs as the House Chair of the Planning and Development Committee.
In her brief remarks, McCarthy Vahey thanked the group for coming out to meet with her and specifically thanked pub owner Patrick Clyne for allowing the free gathering to take place in his establishment.
