Fairfield Restaurant Faces Suspension From State Liquor Control Board

The restaurant's liquor permit will be temporarily suspended, according to officials.

FAIRFIELD, CT ? A Fairfield restaurant will have its liquor permit suspended for two days in October, according to the state Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission.

Taj Indian Cuisine, at 1879 Black Rock Turnpike, will have its permit suspended on Oct. 6 and 7, according to state records. No other discipline was mentioned.

The suspension "resolves issues concerning the following statutes or regulations," according to the liquor control commission: authorization to sell alcoholic liquor for off-premises consumption.
