Fairfield, CT — Fairfield's Lake Mohegan swimming area will be closed today July 5, due to rainfall exceeding the closure criteria, according to the Fairfield Health Department.

In the absence of additional significant rainfall the lake will reopen tomorrow, officials say.

All coastal swimming areas are open.
