Fairfield Senior Center Expanding Hours, Will Open Weekends

Busy elders in Fairfield now have another chance to get to the Senior Center.

The Fairfield Senior Center will be open on Saturday mornings from Feb. 1 through Mar. 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“We are aware that about 70 percent of our Fairfield residents in the baby boomer generation are still working - either part or full time," said Terry Giegengack, Director of Human and Social Services. "In order to meet their needs, we believe it is important to offer some weekend and some evening hours."

The center will again have the 'Wednesday Night Out' program from April – June, and information about the evening program will come in the near future, according to Giegengack.
