Snowfall Forecast For Next 2 Days In Fairfield

Snow could start falling overnight and may not stop until late Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The National Weather Service has released new snow estimates for Thursday and Friday in Fairfield.

The white stuff could start falling overnight, and the area is expected to see up to 7 inches Thursday, with another 1 or 2 inches possible Friday. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. Thursday to 7 p.m. Friday.

The stormy weather is projected to let up this weekend, however, with a forecast of clear, sunny skies Saturday and Sunday.

Wednesday night: A 30 percent chance of snow after 4 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 20 degrees. North wind 3 to 6 mph.

Thursday: Snow, mainly after 8 a.m. High near 29 degrees. Wind chill values between 15 and 20 degrees. Northeast wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Thursday night: Snow. Steady temperature around 27 degrees. Wind chill values between 15 and 20 degrees. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Friday: Snow. High near 34 degrees. Wind chill values between 20 and 30 degrees. Northeast wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Friday night: A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24 degrees. North wind 5 to 7 mph.
