Friday, Aug. 2
Fairfield Teen Theatre Presents "Rent". The school edition of the Broadway hit will run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (and next weekend) at Fairfield Woods Middle School.
Friday Flix at the Library: Beat the heat on Fridays this summer with an afternoon movie at the Library. Bring a friend, and bring snacks, if you’d like. The movie starts at 3 p.m.

New York City Swing at the Bijou: New York City Swing has unmatched versatility. They provide top-notch classical, jazz ensembles, full dance bands, latin bands and Broadway-style productions. See them at the Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport.
Star Wars Night with the Bridgeport Bluefish: The park opens at 6:05 p.m. and first pitch is at 7:05. Bring the kids, come in costume, enjoy a nice cold beer & hot dog, get ice cream, and have some fun! This event is sponsored by Alternate Universe & Traynor Collision Centers of Connecticut. Any fan that dresses up as a Star Wars character will receive one free ticket to the game

Saturday, Aug. 3
Operation Hope Tag Sale: Operation Hope of Fairfield's annual, gigantic tag sale is back again!Furniture, household goods, jewelry, pictures/paintings, linens, gaming systems, toys, outdoor/sporting goods and so much more! Saturday, Aug. 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 4, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Greenfield Hill Estate Sale:Â One-day only sale featuring furniture, household accessories, area rugs, kitchenware, electronics, sporting goods, and outdoor items. The sale runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kayak Trip and Private Tour of Chimon Island: The trip and tour led by the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service’s island keeper will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Visit the event announcement on Norwalk Patch for cost to attend, kayak rental information and other details. Registration is required via the Friends of the Norwalk Islands website.
Adult Computer Class for Beginners at the Library: Attention computer beginners with limited or no experience! Sign up to attend a basic class on mouse usage and general Internet navigation. This is a hands-on class. Topics to be covered include site security, scams, how to follow a link, how to enter a new web address, and how to do simple transactions online. The class starts at 3 p.m.
Live Comedy at the Bijou: See "The Greater Show on Earth" with Harrison Greenbaum and Sean Donnelly at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport.Â

Pure Prairie League: Pure Prairie League is one of the earliest and most successful country rock bands in history.Pure Prairie League and The Eagles are the two groups most often credited with bringing the country rock genre to a national music audience. See Pure Prairie League at 7 p.m. at Fairfield Theatre Company.ÂEmil Stucchuo & the Classics: Head to Westport's Levitt Pavilion for a free concert on Jesup Green. With over 50 years of entertainment experience and excellent vocal talents, The Classics continue to receive rave reviews from audiences and producers from coast to coast, including Atlantic City and Las Vegas. The addition of an Italian show adds to the versatility of The Classics, along with the songs and humor, for which they are noted.
