FAIRFIELD, CT ? Fairfield Town Hall will be closed on Tuesday, due to the pending snow storm expected to hit Connecticut, but some boards and commissions may still hold meetings remotely online on Tuesday, according to officials.

"Due to the forecast of inclement weather, town offices and non-emergency departments will be closed on Tuesday, February 13, 2024," officials wrote on the town's website. "Click on Read More to learn which town boards and commissions are meeting remotely on 2/13. Please stay safe."

The storm is expected to sweep into the state after midnight Tuesday, and last through the morning and into the afternoon. Estimated accumulations vary, but parts of the state could see close to a foot of snow.

Among the Fairfield boards and commissions that will hold meetings remotely on Tuesday include the Board of Selectmen, the Board of Education and the Town Plan and Zoning Commission.
