Fairfield Woman Arrested for DUI in Westport after Accident

Westport police arrested a 27-year-old Fairfield woman before dawn Thursday after she crashed crashed her car, drunk.
Katherine Allen, of 100 Bradley St., was charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility and failure to drive right.
According to a police report, she left the scene of a one-car motor vehicle accident, then got into the passenger seat of another car. When police say they stopped that car, they smelled alcohol on Allen and administered field sobriety tests, which she failed.

She was released after promising to appear Dec. 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
