Fairfield Woman Charged With Assault

Robin Benak, 54, of Fairfield, was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer on Sept. 21 at approximately 1:56 a.m.

According to police, officers responded to an incident on Lagana Lane in Fairfield and determined that Benak was intoxicated and had attacked a family member, scratching the left side of their face. Benak was uncooperative and had to be physically removed from the house.

Benak was released on $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23.
