Fairfield's Long-Range Weather Forecast: No More Snow?
We look at the forecast for the next 15 days and let you know if you can put that shovel away, at least for a while.

Was this morning’s snow the last we’ll see for the winter?
Last year, we were still dealing with snow into early April.
It appears as if this is it for snow, at least for the next 15 days, except for a very, very slight snow chance after midnight Saturday and into early Sunday. The chance of seeing snowflakes is just 20-30 percent and no accumulation is expected for those areas that may see some flakes.
After this weekend’s chilly but largely dry forecast, the only thing apparent in the National Weather Service’s 7-day forecast and the Weather Channel’s 15-day forecast is a lot of 50- and even some 60-degree temperatures.
Here is this weekend’s forecast and beyond via the National Weather Service:
- Today: Snowflakes end, New London County could see some snow up until 4 p.m. most everyone else ends this morning or early afternoon. A half-inch of snow is possible in some spots. It will be cold, with temps near 37 degrees.

- Saturday: Chilly, with temps in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. Winds will make it feel much cooler with the wind chill factor being around 20-25 degrees.
