Family Karaoke and Dance Party at the Library

Here are five things to know in and around Fairfield for Thursday, July 25:

1. The weather. There is a chance of showers on Thursday, otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures reaching a high near 76.

2. Family Karaoke and Dance Party. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Children's Room at the Fairfield Public Library

3. Dynamic Diggers. Children entering grades 1 and 2 are invited on Thursdays to dig into a new theme -- this week's theme is gardens. Registration is required.

4. "The Secret Garden." The Summer Arts Program at The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport is proud to present "The Secret Garden" Musical. This enchanting classic of children’s literature is re-imagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of ‘Night Mother.’  Thursday's show starts at 8 p.m. Click here for more information.
