Film Actor Celebrates 60th Birthday At Fairfield Business
Christopher Atkins, known for his leading role in "The Blue Lagoon," celebrated his birthday at Wake-Cup-Coffee in Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A well-known film actor recently celebrated a milestone birthday at a Fairfield business.
Christopher Atkins turned 60 on Feb. 21, and celebrated with a gathering at Wake-Cup-Coffee, 71 Constant Comment Way, according to information provided by coffee shop owners Stoyan and Nadia Gueorguiev.
Friends and family, including state Sen. Tony Hwang, attended in person and virtually for the special occasion. Some of Atkins' career memorabilia from over 40 years in Hollywood was on display at the event.

Best known for his starring role as Richard LeStrange in the 1980 film "The Blue Lagoon,"Atkins was born and raised in Rye, New York, according to IMDb, but now calls Fairfield home. Atkins is also known for his continued support of the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter.
