Fire Engine Pizza Raises Funds For AED At Pequot Library

In A Heartbeat Inc. will benefit from the Mondays Matter program at the Black Rock restaurant.

In A Heartbeat, Inc., a foundation which provides AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillators) to schools, organizations and businesses will team with the Fire Engine Pizza Co., 2914 Fairfield Ave. Bridgeport on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 for the restaurant’s Monday Matters program. Ten percent of the restaurant’s Monday sales will be donated to the foundation, so it can provide the Pequot Library in Southport with a free AED. In A Heartbeat, Inc. exists to raise the awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, donate and provide qualified organizations with Automated External Defibrillators and assist with the creation of action plans for emergency situations; and support, fund and advance the research of HCM. It is based out of Wallingford, CT and founded by MIke Papale, a survivor of sudden cardiac arrest as a teenager who is now the basketball coach at Fairfield Prep.
