Firefighters Respond To Blaze At Former Fairfield School
An ambulance was called to the scene to assist a person suffering from smoke inhalation, a Fairfield fire official said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Emergency responders were called Wednesday to a fire at the former Holy Family School building.
The incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. at the structure near Edison Avenue and Old Stratfield Road. Fairfield firefighters arrived to find a light fixture and part of the ceiling in flames, and extinguished the blaze, according to Deputy Chief Kyran Dunn.
An ambulance was called to assist a person suffering from smoke inhalation, Dunn said.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but it was likely an electrical fire, according to Dunn.
“It appears that it’s accidental,” he said.

Holy Family School closed in 2010 as part of a merger with Our Lady of the Assumption School, although the Next Stop NY! acting program operates out of the Holy Family School building.
