Here are five things to know about Fairfield for Friday, July 19, and the weekend:
1. The weather. There could be isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon on Friday, with some storms capable of producing heavy rain. Otherwise, expect sunny skies with temperatures reaching a high near 94 and a heat index value of 102. Saturday will be a tad cooler (a high near 89) with a chance for showers and thunderstorms, followed some relief Sunday, when temperatures are forecast to hover closer to 82.

2. Fairfield Teen Theatre Presents Disney's Cinderella Kids. "The timeless fairy tale meets the magic of Disney in this adaptation of the treasured animated film." Performances are Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20 at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, July 21, at 2 p.m. in the Fairfield Woods Middle School auditorium. Click here for details.
3. Paint Drop-off Event. PaintCare, an organization responsible for the program to recycle unused and leftover paint in Connecticut, will host a paint drop-off at Fairfield Warde High School on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

4. See 'The Little Mermaid' on stage. The Fairfield Performing Arts Studio summer camp presents "The Little Mermaid Jr." at Fairfield University's Kelly Theatre on Saturday. To learn more, click here.
5. Westport Fine Arts Festival. The 40th annual Westport Fine Arts Festival kicks off Saturday along the Saugatuck River. The two-day festival features the work of approximately 140 artists in oil painting, watercolor, photography, sculpture, drawing, and more. Click here for details.
