Hail, Thunderstorms, Gusty Winds Possibly Heading to Fairfield
The weather looks good for most of Wednesday and then the forecast changes quickly and a Nor'Easter is possible on Sunday, too.

Hail, thunderstorms, gusty winds and some rain, it’s all possible over the next 36 hours. Enjoy the weather during the day on Wednesday, which will be sunny and temps near 60 degrees.
The National Weather Service says it will stay dry through the evening commute home tonight but showers are possible late Wednesday evening and there is a slight chance of thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty wind on Thursday and into Friday.
It appears to be one of those situations where one side of town could see some sporadic showers and mostly cloudy conditions, while the other side could see heavy downpours accompanied by thunder and hail.
We also could be looking at a possible Nor’Easter on Sunday and into Monday but for southern Connecticut it looks likely to be all rain and no snow. Snow is possible in Hartford and Tolland counties.
Here is the detailed forecast via the National Weather Service:
- Tonight: Showers likely before 9 p.m. with temps around 43.
- Thursday: Chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. and some storms could produce small hail and gusty winds with temps near 60 degrees. Winds could gust in excess of 20 mph. Again, this will be an isolated event.
- Thursday night: Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9 p.m. and midnight and some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds.
- Friday: More showers possible and mostly cloudy conditions.
