Healthyville Exhibit Comes to Fairfield Public Library
The traveling, interactive exhibit teaches health and wellness lessons through play-filled activities.

From Fairfield Public Library: Come visit the vibrant community of Healthyville, a traveling exhibit from the Stepping Stones Museum for Children, at the Fairfield Public Library. This interactive exhibit teaches health and wellness lessons through play-filled activities and educational messages that foster learning by doing. Designed primarily for children ages 5-12 and their parents, Healthyville provides visitors with hands-on opportunities to explore health topics in ways that help them understand their bodies, the importance of making healthy choices and how to apply these concepts in everyday situations. Shop at the Good Foods Market, play sugar or salt detective, use a pulse meter, balance food choices with physical activity, practice brushing and flossing a big mouth, and much more.
Explore Healthyville at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road from May 23 through June 5 during open exhibit hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-noon; Monday-Thursday, 6:00-8:00 pm; and Saturdays, 1:00-4:00 pm. The exhibit will not be open on Monday, May 29 when the Library is closed for Memorial Day.
“Healthyville grew out of the knowledge that early intervention and prevention are critical for establishing healthy lifestyles,” said Rhonda Kiest, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk, CT. “This exhibit is an important aspect of our work to support the growth of healthy children and healthy communities. Healthyville has been an extremely popular exhibit at Stepping Stones and we are thrilled to provide this experience to the many people who will interact with the exhibit as it tours.”
