We've jammed as much holiday and winter spirit possible into the next few weeks — something for all grades and interests.

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club’s Southport Clubhouse has the following exciting programs and event scheduled:
LETTERS TO SANTA Friday, December 13th from 3:45-6:00pm
Grades 1-2 $25
Friday, December 13 - Join us for an afternoon full of holiday cheer as Torch Club host its annual Letters to Santa. Write a letter to Santa, enjoy a holiday craft project, movie, cookies and milk and a little surprise from Santa! Proceeds support Torch Club's gift drive for Alpha House.

COOKIE MATES Monday, December 16th from 5:15-6:30pm
Grades 1-5 & Parents Welcome $10 child/parent, $5 additional child
Parents and kids join us as we decorate holiday cookies and sip hot cocoa! Members can also participate without a parent. Wakeman will provide all cookies and decorations!
CHEFS & CANVASES Wednesday, December 18th from 4:15-6:15pm
Grades 6-8 $25
Create a theme inspired canvas to take home and special appetizers to nibble during class. Painters can expect to take home one canvas and leave the crumbs behind.

UGLY SWEATER HOLIDAY PARTY Thursday, December 19th
Grades 3-8 (All members!) 4:15-5:30 (Free - no registration needed)
Join us for our annual holiday party full of games, contests and much more!
Grades 1-2 $10 3:45-5:45pm
Join the big kids for our annual Ugly Sweater Holiday Party - Christmas and Hanukkah themed Minute to Win It challenges, games and treats, with bonus gym game and gameroom time for 1st-2nd graders only, all guided by Club staff and volunteers!
SCHOOL’S OUT VACATION DAYS 12/23, 12/27, 12/30, 12/31, 1/14 (choose any days)
Grades 1-5: Join us on your day-off from school for games, contests, sports, arts and crafts and more! Each day includes snack and pizza lunch provided by Wakeman followed by an afternoon field trip. Sign up for each day individually. Upcoming Program Dates:

Friday Crew Fridays from 4:15-5:15pm

Don’t waste the winter away, come to the Club and join in on the fun! Keystoners host a class for 1st-2nd grade members sure to start any weekend right. We transform our Art Studio into a mini-gym type setting for dodgeball and athletics, have fun with a variety of messy experiments, and even test your taste buds with some edible challenges. Class meets January 3, 10, 17.
Munchkin Madness Tuesdays from 4:00-5:15pm
Learn to play exciting games like capture the flag, dodgeball, sharks & minnows, speedball, tennis baseball, gameroom and more! Class is led by our Torch Club (7th-8th grade Club Community Service Group) with small volunteer to kid ratio. Torch Club members and Club staff coach teams, explain games, encourage sportsmanship and fun for everyone. Program Dates: Tuesdays 4:00-5:15pm Session 1: January 7, 14, 21 Session 2: January 28, February 4, 11
After School Program Weekdays 3:00-5:30 and beyond*
Grades 3-8** $12/week payable by monthly, seasonal and annual direct payment options
3rd-8th graders can sign up for the Club’s After School Program, with bus available daily from all Fairfield public schools and St. Thomas School. Kids have freedom to choose among a variety of structured and unstructured activities inside and outside the Clubhouse. New enrichment program spaces, renovated restrooms, additional supervisory staff, increased gym time after school, more action on early dismissal days and more frequent High Yield Learning Activities (the really fun free seasonal events that occur with days or minutes notice!)
Members who choose not to enroll in the ASP can still drop in for FREE after school 3 times during the school year and/or can purchase a 5 Visit Drop-In Pass for $60. (8 visits total @ $7.50/visit).
*Club remains open after 5:30 for all 3rd-12th grade members. No fee/registration needed after 5:30. ** 9th-12th grade members can drop in any afternoon without ASP registration required.
Annual Membership: Required to participate in all programs ($140 for 3rd-8th grade, $35 for 1st-2nd grade). All youth are welcome regardless of town of residence. Members enrolled in programs may arrive anytime on program day to participate in other after school activities. Free bus transportation from Fairfield schools is available to all programs for 3rd-8th graders, space permitting. Inquire at Wakeman about availability from your child's school.
Program Registration: Sign up for all programs at the Clubhouse’s front desk, by calling 203-259-4805, or at www.wakemanclub.org. Online registration usually ends 24 hours before a program starts. Registrations will continue to be accepted in person/by phone if space is available.
