How Many Fairfield Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?
State health officials released data for the first time that shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
FAIRFIELD, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 5,623 Fairfield residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
There are 62,045 Fairfield residents and 9.1 percent of them had received their first dose as of Wednesday. Fairfield has 4,908 residents over the age of 75 and 2,355 of them — or 48 percent — had received their first dose, according to state health officials.
And if you're curious, Bridgeport has disseminated the vaccine to 4.2 percent of its population, while Westport is at 8.1 percent, Easton is at 9.2 percent and Trumbull is at a whopping 12.5 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, Fairfield has reported 3,818 cases and 192 deaths.
