Hundreds Expected For Warde Dance Jam This Weekend
The Fairfield event will include awards for jazz, pom, kick and hip hop, and it is the final competition before the state championships.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Hundreds of dancers and fans will descend Saturday on Fairfield as the Fairfield Warde High School dance teams host its fifth annual Warde Dance Jam.
Organizers expect 24 teams from across the state and more than 700 spectators to attend the event, which will feature special performances by the Western Connecticut State University dance team and the Warde dance team, according to team parent Tracy Kolarich. Warde's team is ranked 15th nationally for large hip hop and is coached by Jennifer Kealey.
The dance jam will include awards for jazz, pom, kick and hip hop, and it is the final competition before the state championships next weekend.

Doors open at 3 p.m. and the competition starts at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 and all proceeds go to support the Warde dance team.
