I-95 Backed Up For 20-Plus Miles After Fairfield Crash
The northbound roadway was congested for 23 miles, all the way south to Exit 3, about 5:20 p.m.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Northbound Interstate 95 was backed up for more than 20 miles during rush hour Tuesday, according to authorities.
A tractor-trailer and another vehicle were involved in a crash between Exits 23 and 24 in Fairfield, the Department of Transportation reported.
The northbound roadway was congested for 23 miles, all the way south to Exit 3, about 5:20 p.m., according to the department. As of about 5:30 p.m. the scene was cleared.
