Inagauration Day Slated in Fairfield
Newly-elected officials will be sworn in next week.

Fairfield will hold its Inauguration Ceremony to swear-in the winners of various elected boards and commissions next week.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at Fairfield Warde High School, 755 Melville Avenue, according to First Selectman Mike Tetreau.
Several members of the community were elected to serve on the Board of Finance, Board of Education, Town Plan and Zoning Commission, Board of Assessment Appeals, Zoning Board of Appeals, Representative Town Meeting and Constable in the Nov. 5 election.

In addition to Town Clerk Betsy Browne issuing the Oath of Office, the program will feature Fairfield’s Police and Fire Honor Guard, local scouts leading the Pledge of Allegiance and a benediction and invocation from local clergy, according to Tetreau.
“The Fairfield community is invited to attend this special ceremony and be part of town history," said Tetreau. "Fairfield is very fortunate to have so many residents volunteer their time to serve our community."
