Juveniles Steal Packages From Porches, Fairfield Police Say
Two packages were stolen, but both were eventually returned to their owners, according to Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Police were contacted twice Saturday about juveniles stealing packages from porches, but in both instances, the deliveries were eventually returned to their intended recipients, according to law enforcement.
Several witnesses reported the first incident at 2:30 p.m., telling police a 15-year-old with a group of other minors ran onto the porch of a Moody Avenue home and stole a large package, law enforcement said.
The teen abandoned the package down the street and fled toward Villa Avenue, where officers found the group, according to police. The owner of the package did not want the teen arrested, police said, so officers returned it and tried to arrange for someone to take the teen home, to no avail.
