Large Hail Possible Wednesday Night In Fairfield
With showers and thunderstorms projected through the rest of the week, Fairfield will also be under a flash flood watch Friday.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield may see large hail and damaging winds Wednesday night, while flash flooding is possible later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.
The area is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m. Wednesday, as well as a heat advisory, which ends 8 p.m. Wednesday, the service reported. Severe thunderstorms may bring hail and winds to town.
With showers and thunderstorms projected through the rest of the week, Fairfield will also be under a flash flood watch from midnight to noon Friday, according to the service.

Wednesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 10 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69 degrees. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82 degrees. East wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 71 degrees. South wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 2 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Some storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 83 degrees. Breezy, with a north wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest 16 to 21 mph. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and 1 inch possible.
Friday night: A 30 percent chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68 degrees.
