From Fairfield Public Library: Want to learn how to play chess? Already know but need some extra practice? All skill levels are welcome at the Library’s Monday Chess Club this summer. Ethan Wolf, a chess champion and high school student, will lead the program. Practice and compete while you put your chess skills to the test. Join us on Mondays, June 26 through August 14 (no class July 3). We will meet from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. This is a drop-in program for children entering grades 3-5. No registration is required, but attendance is limited to 20 participants. Tickets are distributed at 4:30 pm, a half hour before the program starts. It’s your move – join us!

Don’t forget to sign up for this year’s summer reading program, “Build a Better World.” Receive a raffle ticket and a prize for every 200 minutes you read! In addition, there are community-building activities you can do to earn raffle tickets, too. There will be raffle prize drawings at the Main and Fairfield Woods Branch Libraries every week. Plus special events all summer long.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free. For more information on Summer Reading and other programs, visit us online at: fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 203-256-3160. Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter @fairfieldpublib and Facebook @fairfieldlibrary.
