Letter To The Editor: Jenn Leeper Should Go To Hartford

"It is about time that we have as state representative a person who can be depended on to be our person in the state."

To the editor,

I and my family have lived in Jenn’s district for over eight decades. I am well aware of our great challenge in this part of Connecticut that is often either ignored by Hartford or suffers from the incorrect reputation as a “wealthy area, easily able to care for itself.” It is about time that we have as state representative a person who can be depended on to be our person in the state.

Jenn is smart; she spent her academic life (Wellesley College and University of Chicago) earning degrees to prepare for a career in policymaking and working for our country. Her work for our town on the Board of Education and other committees demonstrates this; she always attends her meetings well-prepared, staying until all items are covered, all votes taken.

Jenn will speak up in Hartford for our community, demanding proper oversight and funding for our highways, for our trains, and seeking support for local businesses in Hartford.

Please join me at the polls on Nov. 3 and be sure to vote for Jenn Leeper.
