Letter To The Editor: Leeper Best Candidate For Taxpayer Dollars
"As a taxpayer and citizen I want the most for our money and electing Jenn Leeper will afford the best representation in Hartford."
To the editor,
On every measure I’ve researched, Jenn Leeper has the best qualifications to be state representative for Fairfield and Southport. She received her master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago and spent her career improving school quality for children in New York City, Hartford and Fairfield. Currently a member of Fairfield’s Board of Education, she founded and is chair of the board’s Finance Committee, which makes sure every tax dollar is spent wisely and efficiently. Very importantly, Jenn will be committing herself full time as state representative, whereas her opponent works two jobs, which in the past has impacted his public service attendance record. As a taxpayer and citizen I want the most for our money and electing Jenn Leeper will afford the best representation in Hartford. In addition to her degrees from Wellesley College and University of Chicago, Jenn’s an exceptionally bright and independent thinker. She studies issues carefully, listening to differing viewpoints, before arriving at the best conclusion for Fairfield. Unlike others, Jenn will not vote lockstep with her party, nor is she beholden to a political mentor. Apart from her intellectual attributes and fair-minded public service, Jenn is one of the friendliest and most likeable people I know. She’s the winner you want on your team, the person who livens your dinner party, and is a wonderful role model for children and adults alike. I’m incredibly excited we have the opportunity to elect someone as talented and thoughtful as Jenn for state representative. Please join me in voting for her on Nov. 3!
