FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Ludlowe High School girls volleyball team was recently recognized by school officials for a landmark season.

"They instill a sense of such spirit in the entire school," Ludlowe Headmaster Greg Hatzis said.

The team finished the season with a 22-4 overall record, according to Athletic Director Todd Parness. The Falcons won the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Early Season Block Party Tournament, Parness said, and went on to win the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship before falling to Stamford's Westhill High School in the semifinals of the CIAC Class LL state tournament.
