Man Accused Of Late-Night Burglary Attempt At Fairfield Home: FPD
A Fairfield man tried to burglarize a residence in town late at night while the homeowners were there, according to police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield man is accused of trying to burglarize a home late at night while the residence was occupied, according to police.
Lance Tennyson Jr., 24, is charged with first-degree attempted burglary after the incident Feb. 22, police said.
Officers responded about 11:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Black Rock Turnpike after a person tried to enter a home by turning the door handles, according to police. The intruder fled before officers arrived, but the incident was captured on the homeowner’s video surveillance system, police said.

Detectives identified Tennyson as the suspect, and when he was interviewed by law enforcement, he admitted to being the person recorded at the home, according to police. Tennyson claimed he had been trying to recover a missing package, but investigators found there was no validity to his story, police said.
Tennyson was arrested Feb. 24 and is free on $100,000 bond, according to court records. He has yet to enter a plea and his next court date is set for April 22, court records said.
