FAIRFIELD, CT — A Bridgeport man was recently arrested and charged after he admitted to burglarizing one Fairfield business and attempting to burglarize another, according to police.

Domingo Perez, 54, confessed to being involved in both incidents after DNA found at one of the crime scenes led detectives to interview him, police said. He was arrested Jan. 19 and charged with third-degree burglary, attempted third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, according to police.

An overnight burglary was reported Oct. 4 at Mancuso’s Restaurant, 601 Kings Highway East, police said. The lock on the front door was removed, and a tablet and change from the register were stolen, according to police. Detectives discovered the burglar had left items at the scene, which contained Perez’s DNA, police said.
