Missing Fairfield Teen Found In Westport: Police

The 17-year-old girl was reported missing Thursday by her mother and was found Friday morning at a home in Westport, Fairfield police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A missing Fairfield teen was found Friday morning in Westport, according to police.

The 17-year-old girl was reported missing about 8 p.m. Thursday by her mother, who last saw the teen walking outside to get something from a family vehicle in the area of Kotana Drive, police said. Officers and detectives canvassed the neighborhood, brought in K9s to assist, requested a Silver Alert and notified surrounding agencies, according to police.

About 10:30 a.m. Friday, the girl was found at a home in Westport, police said. The teen was in stable condition and was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation, according to police.

Police do not believe the incident is indicative of a threat to the general public.

“This is an active, ongoing investigation involving a 17-year-old juvenile,” police said in a news release. “As a result, there is no further information available at this time.”
