Mother’s Day Plant Sale in Fairfield

Ovarian Cancer Survivor Organizes Fundraiser to Help the Organization that Assisted Her

Ovarian Cancer Survivor Noreen Forde is organizing a Mother’s Day Plant Sale in Fairfield as a way of giving back to The Clearity Foundation, an organization that helped her through some difficult days. She wants to help other women with ovarian cancer have access to these exceptional programs.

“Now that I have recovered from ovarian cancer treatments, I want to raise funds to help other women who are diagnosed with this terrible disease,”stated Noreen Forde. “Flowers are such a wonderful gift on Mother’s Day, my lads always get me some, so I thought this would be a nice way for people to help without it being too excessive in these difficult times,” Noreen added.

Noreen teamed up with Fairfield resident Liz Gilbert DeFeo, owner of Rudy’s Flower Shop to get the best plants possible. Patrick Clyne, owner of The Castle on Post Restaurant & Pub, is allowing his parking lot to be used for the pick-up of flowers.
