Motorcycle Catches Fire; Old Post Road Closed
The road was closed Wednesday evening after Fairfield firefighters responded to a motorcycle that was on fire.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Old Post Road was briefly closed Wednesday evening after a motorcycle caught fire, according to a Fairfield fire official.
Firefighters responded to the blaze about 7:30 p.m. between Beach and South Benson roads, according to Assistant Chief Scott Bisson. When emergency personnel arrived, the vehicle was on fire, but first responders quickly extinguished the blaze, Bisson said.
Old Post Road was closed for about 15 minutes, according to Bisson, who said no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
