Obituary: Eric Alexander Allen, 34, Of Black Rock
Allen was a Fairfield Prep graduate, an Eagles fan, and a loving husband and father.

From Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home:
Eric Alexander Allen, age 34, of Black Rock, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021. Eric was born in Bridgeport and grew up in Fairfield. He was a 2004 graduate of Fairfield Prep and a proud member of the Temple University graduating class of 2009. Following his graduation Eric worked as an accounts manager for Securitas and then as a landscaper/project manager for Outdoor Design where he worked tirelessly to beautify the outdoor spaces of homes in the Fairfield area, often going far beyond what was expected. That was Eric. He respected and was a friend to the men he worked alongside of no matter what language they spoke or where they were from. That was Eric.
Eric was also forever in his heart a Philly boy, home of his dad’s family. He loved his alma mater, Temple, and he loved all things football, both playing it and watching it. He chose Temple partly due to the fact that Temple’s football team played at “The Linc,” home of his team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed disc golf, weekend getaways with Meaghan (before Carson) going to the gym and very spicy food. Eric lived a full life and was surrounded by people who loved and will continue to love him.

Most of all, Eric was a kind, loving man. His most cherished time was spent with Meaghan, truly the love of his life, and their beautiful baby boy, Carson James. Eric was a quiet humble man who detested the spotlight. He did so much for so many and truly never spoke of it. He was one of those guys that had no energy to speak badly of another. A beautiful smile and eyes that saw you, really saw you. He was a caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. The life he led, the people who he loved and loved him will forever hold him in their hearts.
In addition to Meaghan and Carson, Eric is survived by his parents, Jody and Robert, his sisters; Hayley Allen Blakney (Jason), Rose Allen, brothers and sister-in-law Michael Lahiff (Ashley), Conor Lahiff, Ryan Lahiff, Katie Lahiff, Jake Lahiff, and his mother-in-law, Laura Lahiff. He is also survived by his nephew, Emmett Blakney, and nieces, Sage Blakney, Isabella Lahiff and Gabriella Lahiff, as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
