Obituary: Sanford Harold Shinbaum, Of Fairfield

Happy times were spent bantering about politics, playing poker, traveling, and cheering UCONN lady Huskies basketball with his dear Dianne.

From Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home:

Sanford Harold Shinbaum, devoted husband of Dianne (Schrager) Shinbaum, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on June 20. Born in the Bronx, he was the son of Leonard and Mae (Yellin) Shinbaum.

Sanford, known as Sandy, and Dianne, married nearly 60 years, lived in Queens and Plainview, New York, before moving to Fairfield where they raised their family. The happiest times were spent bantering with friends and family about politics, playing his Friday night poker game, traveling, and of late, cheering on the UCONN lady Huskies basketball team with his dear Dianne.
