Paving to Limit Access to North Benson Road

Here are five things to know in and around Fairfield for Tuesday, July 30:
1. Open House - Eagle Hill Southport School. Eagle Hill Southport School will open its doors to prospective families Tuesday morning. Guests will meet the headmaster and staff members and tour the school. Eagle Hill-Southport is a day school designed for bright and capable students experiencing academic difficulties because of a learning disability.Â
2. North Benson Road paving starts Tuesday. Information from the Fairfield Police Department: "Expect detours and closures along with limited access to North Benson Road from secondary roads throughout the expected 10-day process. The following detours may be put in place during the process:Â
- Wakeman Road to Knollwood Drive (via Jennings Road)
- Reid Street to Judd Street
- Judd Street to Katona Drive to Black Rock Turnpike
DOT will be shutting down I-95 southbound Exit 22 during this process.Â
Barlow Road at Round Hill Road will be limited access with No Thru Traffic and Barlow Road will be closed at North Benson Road. All inquires should be directed to the CT Department of Transportation."
3. Pequot Library Book Sale. The five-day sale wraps up Tuesday. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.Â
4. Free movie screening. Head to Levitt Pavilion in Westport Tuesday night for a free outdoor screening of "Moon Man."
5. St. Ann Concert Series. The Black Rock Church puts on family-friendly concerts on Tuesdays. This week's theme is an Evening of Show Tunes by Fairfield School of Music Students.
