Pequot Library Puts New Schedule into Effect, Reduces Hours

The new schedule, announced Friday, is: 

• Monday - Friday: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
• Saturday (July and August): 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• Saturday (September after Labor Day- June): 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Sunday (October - April): 12 p.m.- 4 p.m.
• Sunday (May - September): Closed

The new schedule represents a reduction of one hour on weekdays and one to two hours on weekends, depending on the time of year. 

The reasoning provided in a press release announcing the news hours said the schedule was created "in an effort to be more flexible with ... many upcoming programs" like the "Issues of the Day" panel discussions and "Meet the Author" lectures.
