Person Injured In Fairfield Crash

"Luckily the reported injury was minor," Fairfield fire officials said, warning drivers to watch their speed on limited access highways.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A person suffered a minor injury in connection with a crash Monday in Fairfield. The incident occurred in the afternoon on the Merritt Parkway near the Redding Road overpass, according to a Facebook post from the Fairfield Fire Department. In the post, the department included a photo of the front of the involved vehicle, which appeared to be heavily damaged.

"Luckily the reported injury was minor," the department said in the post. "We would like to remind all drivers to please watch your speed and yield to responding vehicles on limited access highways."
