Police ID Fairfield Man Found Dead In School Parking Lot

FAIRFIELD, CT — Officials have identified the 83-year-old man found dead in the parking lot of Fairfield Prep.

The man is Earl Ingram, of nearby Wormwood Road, according to police.

Ingram was discovered Thursday morning by a Fairfield University construction worker, police said. Not long after his body was found, Ingram’s family reported he was missing from his home, where he was last seen going to bed the night before.

“Responding officers were told Mr. Ingram suffered from dementia and was speaking the night prior about his desire to go for a walk,” Lt. Antonio Granata said in an email.

The death remains under investigation, but foul play in not suspected, according to Granata.

“The police department empathizes with the Ingram family and would like to send our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Ingram,” he said.
